Après-ski in Grandvalira: what each sector offers

Music, terraces, night skiing and dinners as the pistes close

02 November 2026
Après-ski in Grandvalira: from L’Abarset in El Tarter to the Grau Roig sessions and the Pas de la Casa night piste, what each sector offers as evening falls.

Après-ski in Grandvalira has its leading address in L’Abarset, in El Tarter, complemented by afternoon sessions in Grau Roig, the night piste at Pas de la Casa, the freestyle atmosphere of Peretol and mountain dinners. Each sector offers something different when the pistes close. Here is what to expect from each, with one important caveat: the 2026-27 programme has not been published in full, so many details relate to last season and serve as a guide.

We focus here on the hours that follow skiing. To carry on into the small hours, see our guide to nightlife in Andorra.

El Tarter: L’Abarset, the main event

L’Abarset stands at the El Tarter car park and combines music, food and a terrace. It is a club specialising in house and electronic music that has welcomed names such as Marco Carola, Fatboy Slim and John Digweed. According to the end-of-season figures published in April 2026, it drew more than 100,000 visitors in 2025-26, with over 30 events and two spaces: the Main Room and the Green Room.

Hours and formats

The official website, which shows last season’s programme, gives Sunday to Friday from 16:00 to 21:00 and Saturday from 16:00 to 22:00. L’After, with limited capacity, runs until 02:00 on selected Fridays and Saturdays. Confirm the 2026-27 hours before planning your afternoon, as some events have special timings.

VIP area and reservations

For those who prefer to enjoy the music with more room, the VIP area holds up to 170 people, with tables and sofas next to the DJ booth. Entry requires booking a table in advance; there are between 10 and 12, depending on group size. The Backstage option gives access to the same area without a table. The venue also has a cloakroom and VIP parking. Tickets are handled through the L’Abarset events calendar, and for key dates it is best not to leave them until the last moment.

Dining too

Outside après-ski hours, L’Abarset is also a bistronomic restaurant. Its cooking, based on local, seasonal produce, is presented as a contemporary take on the mountains. Last season it hosted two Snow Club Gourmet events, with chefs Iván Cerdeño and Andreu Genestra. In the same sector, the resort highlights L’Arrosseria Pi de Migdia, with rice dishes made to its own recipes, and La Trattoria, Italian cooking with show-cooking.

One-off events

In February 2026, El Tarter also hosted the Red Bull Night Rider, a night-time freestyle contest with a jam session and best trick, whose atmosphere continued past 22:00. It is a good example of the kind of event that can appear on the calendar, although we have not seen a 2027 edition confirmed. If this is the atmosphere you are after, it pays to check the events calendar early, particularly around Carnival.

Grau Roig: afternoons in the sun and extended hours

In Grau Roig, après-ski is on a calmer scale and closely tied to the piste itself. In February 2026, The Objective singled out three venues here:

  • La Suculenta and its Winter Sessions: sessions on Saturdays and Sundays, from 15:00 to 19:00.
  • Pulka: a café with entertainment and food, linked to the extended hours.
  • The Pessons area: lifts open until 19:00 in February.

The official website specifies that this extension applies at weekends in February, weather permitting, on the TK1-GR8 and TK2-GR9 Pessons drag lifts. For this season, check the exact dates and whether the sessions are continuing.

If you are staying in the sector, the afternoon can go on without a car. At Hotel Grau Roig, listed in the MICHELIN Guide, the Copper Bar and the restaurants let you extend it at leisure after the last lift.

Pas de la Casa: skiing as the sun goes down

The idea here is to stay on the snow. The Tubs piste is floodlit at night and the La Solana chairlift stays open for access. Day, multi-day, season and Plus+ passes are valid, but pedestrian passes are not; there is also a specific pass on sale at the Pas de la Casa ticket offices and machines.

The Objective reported daily night skiing until 20:00 for February 2026. For 2026-27, Grandvalira states only that opening depends on the weather, so it is worth confirming the hours during your visit. There is more detail in our article on night skiing in Grandvalira.

Peretol: the freestyle atmosphere

Peretol has its own crowd. The resort presents the Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut as a meeting point for the freestyle community, and also mentions a night snowpark with qualified, specialist instructors. It is more sporting than social, and particularly striking for those who enjoy watching others ski. Check the hours before you go, as the website does not set them out.

Soldeu and Canillo: an afternoon around the table

In these sectors, the official après-ski pages mainly highlight food. Soldeu has the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon, a bistronomic restaurant centred on wine. In Canillo, Roc de les Bruixes offers traditional cooking in a rustic, family setting. The resort also includes the Vodka Bar, with a menu by Nandu Jubany.

As for Encamp, we have not found a specific après-ski offering in the official information. If you are based there, the most practical course is to plan your afternoon in another sector, bearing in mind lift closing times for the return.

Dinners and activities at dusk

Grandvalira also offers mountain dinners combined with an activity: an outing on snowshoes or a snowmobile ride under the stars. It is the ideal alternative if you prefer the silence of the mountains to music. Bookings are handled through the resort’s information numbers, +376 891 810 from Andorra and +34 931 770 586 from Spain.

How to plan your afternoon

  • Check the programme. Review each venue’s listings when booking your trip: last season, the big names were concentrated on specific dates.
  • Choose your sector to suit your plans. For music, El Tarter; for a longer afternoon on the piste, Grau Roig or Pas de la Casa. Our guide to the sectors will help you locate them.
  • Plan your return. Lifts close before some venues do, so decide in advance how you will get back. The hotel’s website mentions private transfers with a driver, an option you can enquire about directly.
  • Set aside time to rest. After the day, you also have the more serene option: the hotel spa.

The 2026-27 Grandvalira season is scheduled from 4 December to 4 April, snow permitting. For details of events, the resort’s official website will be the place to check as it publishes its calendar.
